Eligibility
Qualification Criteria

  • Registration documents of the vessel
  • Death certificate of the previous owner
  • Certificate regarding dependants (grama sevaka /divisional secretary)
  • Declaration showing the dependants consent.
  • Documents pertaining to the death notice
  • Marriage certificate (if married)
  • Application form filled for the transfer of registration

Note: If qualification requirements are not met, this service request will rejected

Submission Procedure
Step 1: Obtain the application form for registration of Fishing Boat and Owner from the District Fisheries Office
Step 2: Submit the filled application and support documents to the Area Fisheries Inspector.

Procedure

Step 1: Obtain the application form from the area Fisheries inspector
Step 2: Submit the filled application form along with the support documents to the fisheries inspector.
Step 3: Fisheries inspector sends the relevant documents to the assistant director – districts
Step 4: Assistant director – districts sends the relevant documents to the director general
Step 5:Director general approves or declines registration
