Obtaining a Duplicate Certificate of Registration of Fishing Craft

Eligibility
Qualification Criteria
The applicant has to provide a valid reason (refer Special Note) for requesting a Duplicate Certificate of Registration from the Department of Fisheries

Support Documents Required:
National Identity Card of the owner
Written application showing cause to obtain a duplicate

Submission procedure
Step 1: Obtain the application form the area Fisheries inspector
Step 2: Submit the filled application form and report Fisheries Inspector.

Application Forms: Application for a duplicate certificate of the registration - Fisheries 55

Procedure:
Step 1: Provide all the support documents
Step 2: Obtain the application form the ara Fisheries office
Step 3: Submit the filled application form and the support documents mentioned to the Area Fisheries Inspector.
Step 4: Area Fisheries Inspector will inspect the application form and documents and send them along with recommendations to the district assistant director
Step 5: Assistant director will send the relevant documents to the director general
Step 6: Director general will either approve or decline the application

Cost: No cost related to obtaining the application form

Fee: To obtain a duplicate of the registration certificate the fee would be Rs.15.00

Penalties: There are no fine related to obtaining a duplicate registration certificate

Surcharge: No additional costs involved

Special Cases: Fisher folk affected by the tsunami can apply for a duplicate without any support documents
