Registration of a Transferred vessel

Qualification Criteria

Note:Both parties involved in this process must personally meet the fisheries inspector.If qualification requirements are not met this service request to be rejected

Support Documents Required

  • Book certifying registration
  • NIC of the owner
  • NIC of the new owner

Submission Procedure
Step 1: Obtain the application form Fisheries 56 & 52 from the Fisheries inspector
Step 2: Submit the filled application form and support documents to the Area Fisheries Inspector.

Procedure

Step 1: Obtain the application forms fisheries 56 & 52from the fisheries inspector
Step 2: Submit the filled application form and the support documents mentioned to the Area Fisheries Inspector.
Step 3: Fisheries inspector will send the relevant application and support documents to the district assistant director
Step 4: If the criteria is met the district assistant director will register the transfer
Step 5: The Management division, of Department of Fisheries transfers the registration
Step 6: After registering the transfer the documents will be sent to the director general

Note: The transferor must sign stating that he did the transfer in the presence of the area fisheries inspector
