Eligibility
Qualification Criteria
Establishing of The Fish production Processing establishment should be in accordance with the declaration of the fish exporting regulations of the department of fisheries & aquatic resources act .
Approval must be obtained from the department of fisheries & aquatic resources

Note: Approval is granted for the production and processing establishment in accordance with the gazette notification bearing 1045/1 of the democratic socialist republic of Sri Lanka

Support Documents Required: Business Registration certificate

Submission Procedure
Step 1: A request is made to director general fisheries & aquatic resources regarding the establishment of the fish production and processing plant
Step 2: the request is sent to the deputy director ( quality control)by the director general
Step 3: Quality control department obtains the specific report
Step 4: An application form is submitted to the director general to obtain the license, accordingly the quality control department will conduct an initial investigation and report to the director general

Application Forms: Application for License to establish a Fish food Production facility

Procedure:
Step 1: Submitting the application to the director general
Step 2: The deputy director (quality control) Sends Quality Control Officers to the check whether the establishment is according to standards.
Step 3: The deputy director will analyze the application form and the report by the Quality Control Officers and prepare the license and send it for approval to the director general
Step 4: Director general will notify the international organizations about the applicant

Note:If the establishment is not in accordance with the special clauses of the gazette notification the director general will decline the license or order to make necessary changes.
