• It is found necessary to obtain assessment of any property situated with in the area of authority of pradeshiya sabha such assessment have to be done by the assessor’s department .
• After issuing the certificate of conformity for a building by pradeshiya sabha, annual value of the that building will be roughly assessed.
• When in selling a block out land by an auctioneer situated with in the area authority of pradeshiya sabha that property will be assessed to levy the taxes.
• Assessment of property is carried for recovery of annual license fee or business tax from all to run industries or business in the area of authority.
• When acquisition of properties the value of that property  will be assessed.
Further information of assessment of properties can be obtain from revenue inspector or revenue administration officer.
